A R K Lasting Powers & Wills Ltd Spearheads Support for UK’s First Advance Care Plan Day, to Raise Money for East & North Herts Hospital Charity
For the first time in UK history, a day will be dedicated to promoting the benefits and importance of Advance Care Planning (ACP). The event will take place on the 8th of May at Lister Hospital and A R K Lasting Powers & Wills Ltd, a family-run business, is proud to lead the support for this groundbreaking initiative.
“Getting Your House in Order” – A Call to Prioritise What Truly Matters
The theme of the event, “Getting Your House in Order”, is not just about organising your material possessions, but also about identifying “What Matters Most” to you in terms of your future care and life choices. Professor Mark Taubert, Chair of Advance Care Planning, applauds the event, stating, “A UK wide day that promotes the ideas and benefits of advance and future care planning is a great initiative, I am glad it will finally happen this year.”
Raising Awareness, Reducing Heartbreak
John Greenall, Director at A R K Lasting Powers & Wills Ltd, shares the company’s sense of honour at being chosen to support the hospital in this initiative. He acknowledges that people often overlook the need for Advance Care Planning, but believes that by raising awareness and encouraging discussion, a lot of heartbreak and misunderstanding can be mitigated during the grieving process.
“It’s a step that is missed by many, and it’s understandable. But by talking about this, it saves a lot of heartbreak and misunderstanding amidst a time where people are grieving,” John explains.
