Member Terms

Welcome

1. Hi, we are Love Stevenage (Love Local Group Ltd), and if you are reading this, you probably are interested in becoming a member or potentially are one already. These terms are additional to our standard terms and specifically for members of Love Stevenage. You’ll need to agree to them before you can become a member. These terms govern the rights and obligations of members to us and our website visitors. You agree to put your content on Love Stevenage on the basis that you agree to the Love Stevenage Terms and these additional Member Terms. Please review these Member Terms carefully.

2. When we say ‘you’ in these Member Terms, we are referring to you, the member or soon to be member. If there are any inconsistencies between these Member Terms and Love Stevenage Terms, what we say in these Member Terms takes precedence.

3. Read on for more information about your responsibilities, the process of submitting your content on Love Stevenage and how you can use our platform.

Becoming a member

4. It costs to become a member: There are costs to register as a member. However, we may offer free memberships from time to time for supporters, sponsors or for other reasons.

5. Process to become a member: It is very easy to become a member. All you need to do is register as a member and complete our setup and verification process. Once approved, you can start publishing content on Love Stevenage and claiming other member benefits.

Your warranties

6. As a member you warrant to us and our website visitors:

  • the content is of acceptable quality and fit for the purpose for which it is viewed;
  • the content matches the title in any previews;
  • you have the rights and ownership to submit that content or business;
  • the content does not infringe the intellectual property rights of someone else;
  • the content and its description are not inaccurate, misleading, unlawful, fraudulent or defamatory;
  • the content and its description do not violate any applicable law or regulation (including consumer protection, unfair competition, criminal law, pornography, anti-discrimination, trade practices or fair trading);
  • the content you upload does not contain viruses, malware or other malicious computer codes, files or software which are designed to limit or destroy the functionality of other computer programs or hardware;

7. As a member you warrant to us that:

  • you will not use Love Stevenage to offer goods or services that are unlawful or harmful in any way;
  • you will follow all rules and guidelines provided by Love Stevenage;
  • you will always act in good faith, provide assistance and cooperate whenever we reasonably request;
  • the information and identification you give us is accurate and in date;
  • your listing will not contain any offensive words;
  • you will provide Love Stevenage with the most up to date information about your business;

8. Our use of your content: We may feature your content on our website, social media or other Love Stevenage owned media channels, to promote our platform. No compensation is payable for these uses.

9. Item removal: We reserve the right to remove your listing for any reason, at our discretion. This could be based on numerous reasons, including but not limited to, quality, technical or industry standards, trends, errors, bugs and violations. We always want to resolve such issues with you in a constructive way with notice, but sometimes it is not possible or feasible to do so. We will not be responsible for any losses you suffer as a result of your listing being removed.

Personal data

10. If your listing includes someone’s name, photo identification or other personal information, you must:

  1. obtain the member’s or model’s permission to use their personal information;
  2. use the personal information only for the limited purposes for which the member or model gave permission;
  3. meet any privacy law requirements that apply to you.

Legal

25. Relationship between us and you: Nothing in these terms is to be construed as constituting a partnership, joint venture, employment or agency relationship between you and us. Neither you nor us can act on behalf of the other in any way. However, you appoint us as your limited agent only for these specific purposes:

  1. for displaying your content and business on our platform;
  2. for passing on your warranties to website visitors and other members;
  3. for limiting your liability to website visitors and other members.

11. Members agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Love Stevenage and their respective owners and employees from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, actions, demands, suits, obligations, fees, charges, proceedings, and any expenses filed by a third party. The terms of this section shall survive the expiration or termination of this Agreement.

Definitions

Member: someone who makes content available on Love Stevenage.

Listing: a business, freelancer or local services directory listing.

Content: any form of content posted on our website, including but not limited to: a news article, an event, a job, a directory listing, an image, a bio, a review etc.
