Yuko Wins On The Autodrome

Spartan YUKO GORDON was the first woman 70 plus in Sunday’s Half Marathon on the Bedford Autodrome.  Her time was 1:48:30.

Yuko said “the wind was much stronger than I hoped and it was strong head wind for two thirds of the course.  I was so sluggish for first 5 miles today and almost wanted to stop and go home.

After that, I felt suddenly more settled and my legs and breathing started working.

Still, the final mile was tough, tough and tough with the head wind.  And wasn’t it quite warm too?  I was 9 minutes slower than my last race here three years ago.”
