Stevenage’s own Hayden Cooper has achieved something truly remarkable – running the iconic London Marathon just a few weeks after celebrating his 18th birthday!
Representing Stevenage Phoenix Running Club, Hayden took on the 26.2-mile challenge to raise money for Hertfordshire Community Trust, a charity close to his heart. His incredible effort has already raised over £2,000 – and donations are still coming in!
Speaking about his experience, Hayden said:
“The support along the route was absolutely overwhelming – it kept me going through the tough moments. The atmosphere was just crazy from start to finish – something I’ll never forget!”
Running a marathon is a huge achievement at any age, but doing it at 18, with such determination and spirit, makes Hayden’s success even more inspiring. His commitment to training, fundraising, and representing his hometown has made everyone in Stevenage incredibly proud.
Stevenage Phoenix Running Club have praised Hayden’s dedication, with fellow members calling him a “real inspiration to young runners across Hertfordshire.” His story is proof that with passion, hard work, and community support, anything is possible.
