Stevenage Mayor Jim Brown attended the annual Thanksgiving Celebration at St Albans Cathedral on Wednesday, 23rd October. Hosted by One YMCA, the evening brought together community members for a heart warming service filled with music, prayer, and spoken word.
The celebration, which began at 7 pm, featured a special service led by One YMCA’s Chair, CEO, and Christian Mission team. The atmosphere was lively and reflective, as live music resonated through the cathedral, creating a setting of gratitude and joy. Those attending had the chance to hear moving stories of resilience and hope, expressed through music and words, strengthening the community’s sense of unity and thankfulness.
Early arrivals gathered from 6 pm, enjoying refreshments and a friendly environment where people connected and shared conversations before the service began.
