Another eventful week for our summer league teams, featuring a derby draw, a tough night for Team 1, and two closely fought matches in the Hitchin League. Here’s a look at all the action:
Letchworth Mixed Summer League (LTH)
Team 1 – Stevenage Summer 1
Thursday 10th July, 19:30
Stevenage Summer 1 0 – 4 Welwyn GC
A difficult evening for Team 1, who struggled to contain a strong Welwyn GC side. Despite spells of good play, they were unable to convert chances and were ultimately outpaced on the night.

Stevenage Summer 2 1 – 1 Stevenage Summer 3
A tightly contested Stevenage derby saw both teams share the spoils. Summer 2 took the lead early on, but Summer 3 struck back to level, with neither side able to find a late winner.

A solid performance from Team 3, who showed good composure to fight back for a point. They’ll be looking to build on this result in the coming week with two fixtures on the horizon.
Hitchin Mixed Summer League

Stevenage Hockey Club 4 – 5 Renegades
An entertaining, high-scoring match ended in a narrow loss for the Stevenage side. Despite a strong attacking performance and four goals, defensive lapses proved costly against a sharp Renegades outfit.
Wednesday 9th July, 19:00
Broxbourne Honey Badgers 1 – 1 Stevenage Hockey Club (Omega)
A much tighter affair saw the team earn a point on Wednesday evening. A strong second-half showing secured the draw, keeping the side firmly in mid-table contention.
