Stevenage Football Club is giving young people an amazing chance to kick-start a career in football! They’ve just launched a brand new Football Coaching Apprenticeships in Stevenage, and it’s open to people aged 16 to 18.
The programme is being run in partnership with Youth Education Service (YES) and is perfect for anyone who loves football and wants to learn how to coach. Over the course of the year, the apprentices will get hands-on experience working with Stevenage FC Foundation, the club’s official charity.
As part of the apprenticeship, young people will:
- Learn how to coach football sessions for different ages and abilities
- Study to earn a Level 2 Coaching qualification
- Work with real teams and community programmes
- Be mentored by professional coaches
The best part? You don’t need loads of experience to get started. Just a passion for football, a good attitude, and the willingness to learn.
Applications are open now and close on Friday 29th March 2025. The apprenticeship begins in April, so it’s a great way to get involved right after school or college.
Stevenage FC and YES want to help local young people build their futures—and this could be the first step towards becoming a football coach, PE teacher, or even working in sports development. This is an amazing opportunity for anyone looking to explore Apprenticeships in Stevenage.
