Stevenage Sports Massage Therapist on Helping Women Through Perimenopause

Sports Massage Stevenage

In a quiet corner of Stevenage, Faye Avuthiyande has transformed her passion for healing into a rewarding career as a sports massage therapist. Her journey into this field is inspiring, especially for those seeking a change in their professional lives. You’ll find that her story is one of dedication, love for wellness, and a desire to help others.

Faye’s path began 16 years ago when she left her job as a personal assistant in the music industry to raise her children. “I wanted a job that aligned with me and could fit around the kids,” she says. Her love for treatments and a firm belief in their healing powers led her to train in reflexology. This was just the beginning.

As her children grew older, Faye found herself with more time and a continued desire to help others. About five years ago, she decided to expand her skills and trained in sports massage. “Massage is something I’ve always loved, and I love being able to help people for a living,” she explains.

For Faye, the most rewarding part of her job is seeing the difference she makes in her clients’ lives. “People come to me in agony and are hardly able to move, and they leave feeling so much better,” she says. The improvement can often be felt after just one session, though it usually takes a few more to achieve the full benefits. The gratitude and relief on her clients’ faces are what drive her every day.

Her interests and specialisations extend beyond just massage. Faye is deeply passionate about women’s football. Her daughter, Amba, has been playing for about six years, which introduced Faye to the sport. She has massaged the first team at her daughter’s grassroots club and, for the past two seasons, has been involved in strength and conditioning for the players. Now, she’s excited to join Chesham United FC Women as their massage therapist for the upcoming season, where Amba will also be playing.

But it’s her work with women experiencing perimenopause and menopause that truly highlights Faye’s dedication. She’s going through perimenopause herself and understands the importance of support and information. “It’s important to get the information out there so that women get the help and support they need,” she says. By creating a safe space for her clients to share their experiences, Faye not only helps them feel understood but also provides treatments that ease their symptoms.

Both massage and reflexology have been effective for her clients dealing with perimenopause. “I have clients who rely on their regular reflexology sessions to help them sleep better and feel rebalanced,” Faye notes. She believes in the power of these treatments to offer real relief and support during this challenging phase of life.

Looking to the future, Faye is excited about continuing her education and expanding her knowledge. She’s planning to take the Dr Louise Newson Confidence in the Menopause course, which she believes will enhance her ability to support her clients. Additionally, her work with Chesham United FC Women keeps her motivated and engaged.

If you’re interested in experiencing Faye’s sports massage in Stevenage, she works from a lovely room in her garden. It’s a serene and inviting space, perfect for relaxation and recovery. You can check her availability and book sessions online via her booking site.
