The community gathered at Hampson Park on Wednesday, 28 August 2024, for the annual Sport in the Park event, a day filled with free activities and fun for all ages. The event, which ran until 3 pm, was a hit, drawing families from across Stevenage to enjoy a variety of sports and games in the summer sun.

He praised the event for bringing people together and promoting physical activity, which aligns with his ongoing efforts to support local sports clubs through initiatives like Sport Stevenage.
Participants of all ages enjoyed activities ranging from football skills workshops and basketball games to more unique offerings like welly wanging and karate demonstrations. The event provided an excellent opportunity for families to spend quality time together while staying active.
Overall, Sport in the Park was a resounding success, reinforcing the importance of community events in fostering local spirit and encouraging healthy lifestyles. Jim Brown expressed his hope to see even more such events in the future, reflecting his commitment to the wellbeing of Stevenage residents.
