After 25 laps around the track, Yuko Gordon, David Bowker, and Jim Brown clinched the top spots in their respective age categories. Yuko Gordon was first to finish among the Spartans. Competing in the women’s 70-plus category, she completed the 10K race in an impressive 47 minutes and 24 seconds. For Gordon, this victory was not just about speed but also about stamina and dedication. Her gold medal is a testament to her consistent training and passion for running.
Next to cross the finish line was David Bowker. He competed in the men’s 65-plus category and completed his race in 48 minutes and 9 seconds. Bowker’s performance was marked by his steady pace and strong finish. He demonstrated that age is no barrier to achieving great things in sports.
Jim Brown, running in the men’s 70-plus category, also took home a gold medal. He finished his race in 53 minutes and 50 seconds. Brown’s journey to the gold was one of resilience and determination.
