📅 Sunday 11th May 2025
🕛 12 PM – 3 PM
📍 Fairlands Valley Lakes, Stevenage
Stevenage residents are invited to come together on Sunday 11th May for a special event at Fairlands Valley Lakes to honour the sacrifices of our fallen service men and women. Hosted in the spirit of remembrance and unity, the afternoon promises to be both meaningful and fun, with activities for all ages.
The event opens with a moving tribute featuring Churchill’s iconic VE Day speech followed by a rousing rendition of the National Anthem. This ceremonial start sets the tone for an afternoon filled with respect, reflection, and community spirit.
Special guests include the Stevenage Sea Cadets and Royal Marine Cadets, who will be on hand to represent our town’s proud links to the Armed Forces. Also making an appearance are the Kaotic Angels, who will be showcasing their impressive collection of bikes – a real treat for motorbike enthusiasts young and old.
Families can look forward to a variety of games and activities, along with buffet-style food, soft drinks, and music to keep the atmosphere lively and welcoming. It’s a fantastic opportunity for people of all ages to spend time together outdoors, enjoying one of Stevenage’s most beautiful parks.
Throughout the day, fundraising will take place in support of The Muster Point, a local organisation dedicated to supporting veterans in our community. Every contribution helps continue the vital work they do.
A big thank you goes to MR Barrett Electrical Ltd in Letchworth for their generous support, helping to bring this event to life.
Whether you’re attending to honour a loved one, show support, or simply enjoy an afternoon with your neighbours, this is a day not to be missed.
