Stevenage Cricket Club  Sunday result not yet in.

A superb day of cricket saw three victories out of four for Stevenage CC across the Hertfordshire League divisions, with the 1st, 3rd and 4th XIs all claiming impressive wins.

Despite a shaky middle order collapse, Stevenage battled to 164, led by crucial knocks from Tyler and Chapman. The bowlers then held their nerve to edge out a tight win by just 6 runs.

Fall of Wickets:
Stevenage lost early wickets (1-3, 4-82) before a lower-order fightback. Bishop’s Stortford were strangled in the chase by sharp bowling and pressure fielding.

Netball:

Baldock Panthers completed the win of their Stevenage Netball Tuesday League with a winning margin of 8 points, ahead of Fireballs. The league that is played at John Henry Newman leisure centre doesn’t have time to let the dust settle before they begin again, Baldock though continued with a win in their first fixture of the next season. Fireballs were runners up but lost their opener.

Stevenage finished fifth.

In the Thursday league, Stevenage Roses continue their dominance at the half way stage with 6 wins from 6. It seems unlikely they will be challenged having won the title several seasons on the trot.

Bowls: Stevenage Mixed Bowls League

Baldock also lead the way in this league and are the reigning champions. They have however played 3 more matches than second placed Letchworth GC BC who are 2 points back. The Stevenage teams of Stevenage Town and Three Horseshoes are mid table but have played 2 and 3 matches less respectively than those above them but also less than those immediately below them, so are both in with a shout of a good finish still.
