Moss Bury Primary School and Nursery is a one-form entry school from September 2020, catering for children aged 3-11 years including a part time nursery.
The school is situated near central Stevenage with extensive grounds and a wonderful outdoor environment. We are also very proud of to be one of only two schools in Hertfordshire with our very own specialist unit for deaf children.
As a school, we fully believe that all children have the right to do as well as they can academically, as this will equip them to take the highest possible trajectory through secondary school, which will in turn, give them the best chance to succeed in whatever area of life they wish to explore when formal schooling finishes.
Academically, we are a very accomplished school and, to ensure we continue to do the best for every child, we use a range of teaching strategies to drive our success. Some approaches like our Learning Commitments scheme, which tightly focuses upon certain essential aspects of the curriculum, are successful because we ask all our parents and families to support the school and their children to do well at these key points, underpinning future progress and engagement for the children.
We are often congratulated on the politeness of our children and their enthusiasm and engagement in lessons. This is important to us, as we see Moss Bury as a place where positive lifelong habits, that will have lasting benefit and impact, are instilled in a supportive and friendly environment.
