Job description

This position is for a managed services provider offering IT support and solutions to a diverse range of clients.

An experienced Technical Team Lead/Manager to lead the technical team in delivering managed services and IT support. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the managed services industry and a proven track record of managing technical teams. You will be responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, leading project implementation, and fostering a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the technical support team, ensuring high-quality IT service delivery.
  • Oversee daily operations of the managed services department, including project management, troubleshooting, and client support.
  • Develop and maintain operational processes to ensure efficiency and consistency in service delivery.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for escalated technical issues and provide guidance to resolve them in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with the leadership team to align technical strategy with overall business goals.
  • Monitor team performance, set goals, and provide feedback to encourage professional development.
  • Ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs) and other contractual obligations.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including sales and customer support, to enhance client satisfaction.
  • Manage resources, schedules, and relationships to ensure timely project completion.

Qualifications / Skills

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in a managed services or IT support business.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, cloud services, and security.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with service management tools, remote monitoring and management (RMM) platforms.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
